Welcome to the official blog of MyTotalTakeToo. I am incredibly excited to share this new chapter of my professional journey with you. If you have followed my work in school leadership or attended any of my "Coach O Talks EDUCATION & Other Stuff" presentations, you know that my life has been dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in education and the unwavering belief that every student—and every teacher—deserves the tools to thrive.

The Philosophy of Dr. Coach O

For those who are new to my work, I go by the name Dr. Coach O. This identity is not just a moniker; it is a philosophy. It represents my dual commitment to leadership and mentorship. My mission is centered on educating and inspiring others by sharing knowledge about various aspects of the world, whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, or within the administrative halls of our school systems.

My approach is rooted in service, authenticity, and trust. Throughout my career, I have learned that the most effective leadership doesn't come from a position of power, but from a position of partnership. I have been honored to be recognized for my dedication to these principles, including my graduation from the Superintendent’s Leadership Institute and the honor of receiving the Dr. Vicki L. Baker Leadership Institute Award. These experiences have deeply informed my understanding of what schools need to support student engagement and academic success.

As an educator, I have walked the halls of rural elementary schools and navigated the complex landscape of district leadership. I have witnessed the tireless dedication of our teachers, and I have also seen the challenges they face: the lack of time, the overwhelming volume of paperwork, and the constant search for high-quality, practical resources that actually work in the classroom.
